First, I am pleased and very excited to announce that we have hired Marshal Salomon to be the new Chief Executive Officer of InterDent. The selection of Marshal as our new CEO is the result of an extensive search over the last several months during which the Board of Directors met with dozens of highly qualified candidates. Marshal stood out from this elite group due to his leadership, character and tremendous experience in multi-site healthcare.
Marshal is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Vantage Oncology where he has spent the last 14 years. Vantage provides high quality, community-based cancer care through 50 treatment facilities in 13 states in conjunction with more than 200 physician partners and affiliates. Marshal co-founded the company in 2002 with a mission to address the growing need among cancer patients, hospitals and physicians for accessible and advanced cancer treatments, and he has been instrumental in the successful growth, stability and infrastructure development of Vantage. As COO, Marshal oversaw Vantage’s nationwide network as well as a number of operations-facing departments such as Human Resources, Strategic Support Services and Information Technology, among others, and was the driving force behind the creation and promotion of Vantage’s Medical Advisory Committee. In April of this year, McKesson Corp. acquired Vantage Oncology in a successful outcome for Vantage’s employees and investors. Prior to Vantage, Marshal spent over five years as a senior executive at DaVita, Inc., a leading provider of dialysis services in the United States. He graduated from Brown University with a BA in Economics and earned an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.
