Dear Valued Patient,
Your well-being is our top priority. Enhanced precautions have been implemented to ensure the safety of our patients and team members. This means we adhere to best-in-class safety practices based on guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Dental Association (ADA) and state/local mandates.
As always, we’re following best practices for sterilization protocols of dental instruments and operatory equipment. We’re also screening every patient upon arrival, using the CDC’s guidelines for identifying any symptoms of illness or recent exposure to COVID-19.
During treatment, our dentists, hygienists, and assistants will all be wearing masks and additional personal protective equipment (PPE). They will also sterilize each patient’s mouth with an antiviral/antibacterial rinse before starting treatment.
All of these measures are designed to ensure the highest level of safety and a great patient experience.
If you’ve been putting off an exam, cleaning or important dental treatment, now is a great time to make an appointment at Gentle Dental.
What You Can Do
To help keep us all safe in light of the situation, here are some additional guidelines for you and your loved ones:
- If you or someone in your household is sick, or has been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home per CDC guidelines. We are happy to reschedule any appointments you have with us.
- If you have traveled to any of the countries identified by the CDC as having widespread sustained (ongoing) transmission of COVID-19, please contact us to determine if it is best to reschedule an appointment.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the restroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and face.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash, followed by washing your hands.
