The Cornell Gentle Dental office is located on NW Cornell Road, just north of the intersection with NW Bethany Boulevard, and in the complex with Goodwill and Burger King.
We offer weekday and Saturday hours for your convenience, and accept most major dental insurance. For uninsured patients, we offer the Gentle Dental Smile Plan, which provides low-cost preventative and diagnostic care with reduced rates on most dental treatments.
Our highly trained dental staff offer gentle family dentistry to people of all ages, including infants and children. We also provide specialized services, including orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, dental implants, and root canals. Our cosmetic dentistry services include teeth whitening, dental veneers, and other procedures to brighten your smile.
We value our patients and strive to create lifelong relationships through our commitment to compassion, friendliness, and respect. Dr. Alti received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry. Dr. Alti’s love of building models outside of work makes the intricacy of dentistry closer to his heart.
Outside of work, Dr. Alti’s interests include swing dancing, racquet ball, and, of course, model building.

ABOUT ME
Dr. Hoopes says, “The best part of being a Orthodontist is that I get to merge science and art to create beautiful smiles! I also really love getting to know my patients and hearing updates on their lives.”
“The thing that first attracted me to dentistry was that I had a great dentist growing up. While in college, I started volunteering at community dental clinics and saw the amazing differences dentists can make in improving people’s quality of life! Now I get to do that every day.”
After graduating from the University of Utah, Dr. Hoopes received his Dental Degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry. He received his Certificate in Orthodontics and his M.B.A, from the Roseman University of Health Sciences. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Hoopes says, “Away from the office I enjoy playing the cello, hiking and camping, rock hounding, trying new food and exploring new places. I’m new(-ish) to Portland and I’d love any good restaurant recommendations!”

As a Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Buenjemia enjoys building doctor-patient relationships and educating her patients on the importance of dental health. She takes pride in helping her young patients establish excellent oral care habits that they’ll carry into adulthood.
After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of San Diego, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She holds a certification for Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Away from the office, Dr. Buenjemia loves exploring outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys baking and reading to unwind.

Dr. Grant fulfills all periodontal care and implant services, in a safe comfortable and caring environment for patients of all ages. After graduating from Tufts University in Boston, Dr. Grant received both her Dental Degree and her Periodontic Certificate from the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Grant is an Oregonian native. She has taught Periodontics at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. She recently completed eight years on the Oregon Board of Dentistry.
