At Gentle Dental River Valley, our mission is to build lifelong relationships with our patients by treating them with the kindness and respect they deserve. Using the latest technologies and techniques, our expert team offers a full range of general dentistry services, including preventative and restorative procedures, inlays and onlays, periodontics, and implant placement and restoration. We also specialize in comprehensive cosmetic dental procedures, including teeth whitening, tooth replacement options, traditional orthodontics, and Invisalign clear aligners.
To make your visit more convenient, we offer a flexible appointment schedule and have an open-door policy for emergency visits. We also accept most dental insurance plans. For procedures not covered by insurance, we’ll help you arrange a no-interest monthly payment plan so you can get the treatment you need. Uninsured patients can take advantage of the Gentle Dental Smile Plan, which offers discounted fees on almost all dental treatments.

Our office is near Red Robin Gourmet Burgers on Valley River Drive and is wheelchair-accessible with parking located in the back of the building. Dr. Cooper is passionate about being an Orthodontist. He loves being able to educate his patients on the benefits of orthodontics and feels blessed to have the opportunity to improve their oral health while creating beautiful, radiant smiles, “I treat my patients with the same care and attention to detail that I would give to my own family.” Dr. Cooper is excited for you to come meet his fantastic team and work together with him to achieve your perfect smile.
After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of California at San Diego, (where he also became an avid surfer,) Dr. Cooper received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from the Boston University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his Orthodontic training and Master of Science degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Cooper and his amazing wife have 3 children. They love calling the Willamette Valley their home. In his free time, he loves hiking and adventuring with his wife, mountain biking and competing in triathlons with his friends.

Dr. Vu says, “I am passionate about providing the highest possible quality of care for my patients and exceeding their expectations,” says Dr. Vu, who was voted one of Eugene’s top dentists in 2011. “The opportunity to meet their needs and improve their overall oral health is deeply satisfying.”
He has enjoyed practicing in Eugene since 2002, after receiving his Doctorate in Dentistry from Indiana University and graduating top of his class in clinical training. He has received advanced training in all aspects of general dentistry, including extensive training in Implantology. Dr. Vu has performed more than 1,500 cases of root canal therapy and other procedures, including dental implants, extractions, dentures, crowns and bridges.
Dr. Vu’s philosophy is heavily focused on preventive dentistry for children and adults: “I encourage and recommend all new patients and those seen on emergency basis to return for a comprehensive exam. This gives me the opportunity to develop long-term relationships and work on improving my patients’ overall oral health. The patients like it, too, because they experience fewer invasive procedures, less discomfort and lower costs.”
Dr. Vu and his wife, Tristen devote their free time to family and traveling. They also enjoy snowboarding, biking and watersports. Dr. Vu is a member of the American Dental Association.
