ABOUT ME
Dr. Chou says, “I love making connections with patients and helping them gain confidence with their smiles and themselves. Orthodontics helped fix my underbite when I was young, and I want to provide that same service to others to help them find their smile!”
After graduating from the University of the Pacific, Dr. Chou received his Dental Degree from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and his M.S. in Orthodontics from the Oregon Health & Science University School od Dentistry. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. He also speaks Mandarin.
Dr. Chou says, “I enjoy sports and outdoors activities – hiking, swimming, running, camping, soccer, and martial arts. I love to cook at home, but also like to try out local restaurants for more inspiration in my kitchen. And most of all, I love doing all the activities above with my fiancée.”

Dr. Peterschmidt says, “To me, being a dentist is about promoting oral health for my patients and treating them the way I would want to be treated. I strive to treat all my patients with sincerity and respect while looking out for their best interests and helping them progress to oral health and maintaining it for a lifetime. I am committed to being the best technically skilled dentist I can be for my patients, but foremost to being someone that people can trust and feel comfortable with.
After graduating from Oregon State University, Dr. Peterschmidt received his Dental Degree from the OHSU School of Dentistry.
“Dentistry is an area of health care that is somewhat specialized in it of itself and allows me to focus on certain aspects that I like and enjoy. Fixing broken or decayed front teeth is one of my favorite procedures because it’s great to see the patient’s response and the change it can make in their smile. I was drawn to dentistry because of the artistic aspect it presents as well as the very hands on treatment. I’ve enjoyed art and crafting things with my hands since I was a kid and dentistry fits me great!”
Dr. Peterschmidt says, “I enjoy playing basketball and volleyball as well as going to the movies and vegging out with my video games every now and then. I’ve also just started garden which has been a fun new hobby.”

Dr. Makkattil understands that the key to extraordinary dental care is developing lasting relationships based on mutual trust. He believes that patients should be comfortable and well informed which is why encourages his patients to be involved in their treatment in order to achieve the best results possible.
He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Pune. He went on to complete three-year post graduation program in Prosthodontics from the University of Kerala and received his M.D.S. He also was awarded his M.S.D. in Periodontics and Implantology from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. He is Oregon State Board certified Periodontist who practices Periodontics and Implantology exclusively.
Dr. Makkattil hails from beautiful part of South India. He and his wife, Dr.Sheethu Sadasivan, are blessed with two wonderful kids: daughter Meenakshi and son Devajith. He enjoys playing sports like cricket, tennis, soccer and traveling with family.
