Visiting Your Dentist

How often should I visit the dentist?

It is recommended that we visit our dentist twice a year for regular cleanings. Regular visits help your dentist to find early stages of dental disease and resolve any problems at a manageable stage. Many dental issues go unnoticed and don’t become visible until there is pain and are in more advanced stages.

What to expect?

Most of us have been to the dentist before, but many have not! Whether you are visiting your dentist for the first time or for a return visit, it’s important that you feel comfortable and confident during your visit. If you’re a parent, it is part of your job to ensure your child also feels comfortable and safe. Dentistry has come a long way over the years and most visits really are pain free! Help keep your child’s anxiety to a minimum during their first visit. Focus on keeping it positive!

What happens next?

So you’ve had your initial exam, x-rays and cleaning – Now what? The staff in your dental office will assist you in making any additional needed appointments, assist with any specialty referrals, but most importantly they will help you get scheduled for your next routine cleaning!
