Dr. Ma says, “I gain great satisfaction from helping patients feel comfortable about the health and appearance of their teeth through patient education and treatment.”
“As a child, I had severe teeth crowding as a child and my orthodontist and general dentist changed my smile which improved my social life. After the life changing treatment, I knew I wanted to be involved in dentistry when I grew up!”
After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University, Dr. Ma received his Dental Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He also speaks Mandarin.
Dr. Ma says, “I am happily married to my wife, Ning and we have a daughter, Meredith. I lived abroad and established a private dental practice in Shanghai, China for 5 years. In my free time enjoy swimming, playing tennis, traveling & sightseeing and watching movies and sports.”

About Me
As a Periodontist, Dr. Han Kashani making a difference in peoples lives–whether it is easing a patients anxiety, taking them out of pain or improving their smile. His goal is for you to enjoy a lifetime of vibrant oral health!
Dr. Kashani received his general dental education at the University of Tehran. Afterward, he transferred to the University of Iowa, where he studied the dental specialties of Prosthodontics and Periodontics, and received his M.S.D. degree. He is an active member of many organizations including the American Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Association of Periodontology. He has held a number of teaching positions over the years, most recently as Associate Professor in the Periodontology Department at University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Kashani’s enjoys tennis, golf, skiing, and table tennis. He also dabbles in sculpture.

Dr. Gopal says, “Clinical excellence along with personal care is my number one priority! I love children and feel I get transformed into their world of fun, imagination and magic.” Dr. Gopal loves her profession because it gives her the opportunity to interact with so many people on a daily basis. Dr. Ammari says, “I put my patient’s best interest into all of my treatments. I love changing smiles that improve patients’ confidence and improving the health and social well being of my patients.”
After graduating from UC Berkeley, Dr. Ammari received her Dental Degree from the UC San Francisco School of Dentistry. She completed her Orthodontic training at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She’s a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the California Association of Orthodontists and the World Federation of Orthodontists. She also speaks Farsi.
Dr. Ammari is a highly knowledgeable and patient-centered Orthodontist experience and expertise in Invisalign, MTM, functional appliances, self-ligating brackets, miniscrew implants/TADs, and laser treatments and procedures. She contributes to teams of oral care specialists through continual professional development, expert technical knowledge, and treatment innovation and has served as odontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
Dr. Ammari says, “In my free time, I like spending time with my family, hiking, knitting, camping, skiing, yoga, watching movies and reading with my children.”
