The Capitol Hill Gentle Dental is conveniently located in the shopping plaza at the southwest corner of Broadway East and East Mercer Street ,right next to ZoomCare.
We accept almost all major dental insurance plans, and for those without coverage we offer payment plans as well as the Gentle Dental Smile Plan, which offers reduced rates of 20 percent or more on most procedures. For your convenience, we offer early morning, late evening, and weekend hours so you can make your appointment fit easily into your schedule.
Our facility offers all the general family dentistry services you need. We serve patients of all ages, from infants to adults. We provide routine checkups, teeth cleaning and whitening, root canals, bridge work, dental veneers, orthodontics, and much more.
Our caring administrative staff will make sure you’re taken care of before and after appointments. Dr. Aravind Buddula’s father, a pediatric surgeon, served as his initial inspiration and played a key role in shaping his career. He loves treating his patients and giving them the gentle care they need for great oral health. Delivering periodontal services at multiple Gentle Dental offices throughout the Seattle region, he brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to each patient’s care.
His love for his profession is reflected in his achievements. While studying Dentistry at a top dental school in his home country of India, Dr. Buddula received an award from the International College of Dentists for achieving the highest marks in Prosthodontics. He furthered his education with a Masters of Dental Surgery in Periodontics from the College of Dental Surgery in Manipal, India. He went on to pursue a Certificate in Public Health at the Oklahoma University of Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He then attained his D.M.D degree at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Buddula made the Dean’s Honor Roll for his exemplary performance on the National Dental Board examination, and was selected by the world-renowned Mayo Clinic to complete his Fellowship in Periodontology and Masters in Biomedical Sciences. His work there earned him the Dental Student Award for outstanding achievements from the American Academy of Periodontology. Especially interested in implant surgery, he has multiple articles on this topic in international, peer-reviewed journals, and his papers have been accepted for presentations at various national and international conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and American Dental Association.
Recognizing that patient care and understanding are the essence of any health profession, Dr.Buddula has genuine love and concern for his patients. This fact was acknowledged when he was placed among the best periodontists in patient care at the Mayo Clinic, based exclusively upon the positive patient feedback he received.
In his spare time, Dr.Buddula enjoys watching movies and playing cricket. He is fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi.

Dr. David Kang believes patient education is a critical component in successful treatments. He always spends time with his patients going over details of diagnosis and prognosis based on clinical evaluations and research studies recommending evidence-based treatments. All of his patients and referring doctors complement and appreciate him for his great chair-side manner!
After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Kang received his M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his Masters degree in Endodontics from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Kang grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and worked as a computer engineer at IBM before he joined the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland for his master’s degree in Biotechnology.

About Me
Dr. Fletcher says, “I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and I’ve always been interested in art and working with my hands. Dentistry allows me to do both! I enjoy helping others, especially when it comes to helping them feel more comfortable with their smiles.”
After graduating from Brigham Young University, Dr. Fletcher received his Dental Degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. While serving in the U.S. Army, he completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Fort Jackson. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, he’s a member of the American Dental Association. He also speaks fluent Portuguese.
Dr. Fletcher says, “I love getting outdoors for camping, hiking and boating. I also enjoy movies, and dining out at new restaurants.”

Dr. Wan has a passion for dentistry, and when asked where this passion was cultivated, she states, “Growing up in Ann Arbor, MI, I was inspired to begin my wire-bending journey when I ventured to recreate a pair of wire sculpture earrings that I had set my eyes on at the annual summer art fair.” That simple introduction led to a career that I am immensely passionate about – the perfect blend of personal and professional pursuits. “Today, I am lucky to be able to give patients smiles, through Orthodontics, by combining my passions for patient-care, science, engineering, and art.”
After graduating from MIT, Dr. Wan received her Dental Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She received her Orthodontic Certificate from the University of Washington.
Dr. Wan says, “In my spare time I enjoy trying new recipes and honing my photography skills on my three best four-legged models (my Samoyed, Monty; my Bernedoodle, Riley; and my Shepadoodle, Teddy).
