Dentures & Partials
If you are living with missing teeth, or teeth that are so badly damaged that they cannot be easily repaired, dentures may be an option for you. Modern dentures are comfortable, natural looking, and allow you to enjoy the foods you love while also being confident about your appearance.
What is the difference between dentures and partials?
Both dentures & partials replace missing teeth. Dentures cover the entire bottom or upper jaw and replace all the teeth there. A partial, also known as a bridge, is used when you still have neighboring teeth. The partial “bridges” any gaps in your smile.
What is the Process for Getting Dentures and Partials Like?
If you are interested in getting dentures or a partial, you’ll begin the process by having a consultation with your dentist. In some cases, there may be alternatives to dentures and partials, including efforts to save the tooth, such as a root canal, using veneers to cover damaged teeth, or, if a tooth cannot be saved, dental implants.
You and your dentist may decide, however, that dentures are in your best interest. In such cases, you will likely make several visits so that a mold can be cast of your mouth, which will then be sent to a lab so that your dentures or a partial can be custom made just for you.
