Puyallup Gentle Dental is conveniently located in the shopping plaza at the southeast corner of Canyon Road East and 176th Street East. Our office is south across the parking lot from Starbucks and just west of Safeway.
We offer late evening hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, as well as openings on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. To put dental care within your reach, we accept almost all forms of dental insurance. We also offer options for our clients without coverage, including payment plans and a Dedicated Dental Plan that lowers the cost of most procedures by 20 percent or more.
Our Puyallup Gentle Dental practice offers general family dentistry, including annual and semiannual checkups, oral hygiene education for patients of all ages, cavity fillings, root canals, and more. Our caring and experienced team of dentists, surgeons, and dental hygienists will ensure your visit goes smoothly, and that any procedures you undergo are stress-free. Our goal is to make lifelong clients—we’ll do everything we can to make sure your visit with us is a positive experience.

About Me
Dr. Felix says “Dentistry attracted me because I wanted an opportunity to educate others about the importance of dental health while being in a hands-on environment. I will make sure that I am here to take care of their dental needs and will do what I can to ensure a comfortable and positive experience. I love being able to interact and talk with patients knowing that I am making a difference in promoting healthier, beautiful smiles!”
After graduating from the University of Washington, Dr. Felix received her Dental Degree from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. To keep abreast of cutting edge technology, she’s a member of the American Dental Association and the Washington Academy of General Dentistry.
Of her free time out of the office, Dr. Felix says, “I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. Also, I Love to dance! I’ve trained in over five dance styles and play the piano and sing.” She has also trained in the martial art Krav Maga.

About Me
Dr. Lawhorne says, “I love my job and I am passionate about dentistry! I really believe in preventative and minimally invasive dentistry, and I will give you my best every time you are in my chair. I believe that taking the time to educate my patients is the best way to run a practice. One of my goals is for you to be as interested in taking are of your teeth as I am.” He continues, “I was first attracted to dentistry for a love of science and people. I like meeting new people, helping others, problem solving. I always wanted to be some kind of health care professional and Dentistry is so multifaceted and so dynamic!.”
After graduating from Washington & Lee University, Dr. Lawhorne received his Dental Degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Association of General Dentistry.
Dr. Lawhorne says “I enjoy being active and playing sports, like soccer, tennis, and racquetball. I watch a lot of soccer and am a big fan of Manchester United. Also, being outside in nature for fishing, tossing the frisbee or birdwatching.”

About Me
Introducing Randy Ogata D.D.S., our Orthodontist at Gentle Dental, specializing in creating beautiful smiles at our Lynnwood and Puyallup Washington locations. He previously served as the Executive Director of the Seattle-King County Dental Society and the Seattle-King County Dental Foundation. Recently hired for the Puyallup office, Dr. Ogata specializes in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, using his expertise to create beautiful smiles for his patients.
A graduate of the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1987, Dr. Ogata continued his dental education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, earning his D.D.S. degree in 1991. He furthered his studies in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Oklahoma University Health Science Center Dental School, completing his post-graduate program in 1994.
Dr. Ogata’s passion for dentistry stems from his desire to serve others, helping patients achieve the smile of their dreams. He cherishes the ability to make a positive impact in people’s lives and build meaningful relationships with his patients and their families. Beyond dentistry, he enjoys being a dedicated volunteer and leader in Scouts with his sons. His hobbies include fishing, fly-fishing, fly tying, model rocketry, model railroads, kayaking, canoeing, and camping, reflecting his love for outdoor activities and exploring nature.

Dr. Munimadugu has extensive expereance with Implant placement, Extractions and Bone Grafting, Gingival Recession Treatments, Connective Tissue Grafts, Tissue and Bone Regeneration, Crown lengthening, Gingivoplasty, Frenectomy and the Surgical treatment of peri-implantitis.
She was awarded her dental degree in from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. She completed a fellowship from University of California, San Francisco. Thereafter, Dr. Munimadugu received her Masters and Certificate in Periodontics from theUniversity of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. She is also trained in Moderate Parenteral Conscious Sedation. Dr. Munimadugu is Board-Certified Periodontist and a member of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Munimadugu lives in North Seattle with her husband and two children. She enjoys cooking, biking and gardening in her free time.

About Me
Dentistry runs in her family–she is a 3rd generation dentist! She loves the idea of a career that could help people in such an important way. Dr. Pawar received her dental degree from the University of Sydney School of Dentistry. She later was awarded her M.S.D. and her Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. She speaks Hindi, too.

ABOUT ME
Dr. Xu (Sue) Qian is a Board-Certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics. She earned her DDS and completed her orthodontic residency with a MS at West China School of Dentistry, Sichuan University. Then she completed a PhD in Oral Health Sciences at School of Dentistry, University of Michigan. She completed her second residency with a specialty certificate in Orthodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Qian has started practicing orthodontics since 2008. She is highly experienced in orthodontic practicing, teaching, and research. She was a full-time faculty teaching orthodontic residents and treating patients at Tufts University, Boston before relocating to Seattle with her husband who is a software engineer and their two young kids. Currently, in addition to practicing orthodontics, she continues remote teaching the orthodontic residents as a clinical associate professor. Dr. Qian provides treatment with both braces and clear aligners. She is a credentialed Invisalign provider.
Dr. Qian decided to become an orthodontist when she was in middle school because of the awesome experience she had with her orthodontist. She is ecstatic to provide the same memorable experiences for all her patients and maybe inspire them to join the field as well! Dr. Qian says, “I love working together with my patients to provide them with an optimal individualized treatment. Creating beautiful, healthy and confident smiles for my patients means everything to me.”
Away from the office, Dr. Qian enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with her family.
