ABOUT ME

Dr. Aravind Buddula’s father, a pediatric surgeon, served as his initial inspiration and played a key role in shaping his career. He loves treating his patients and giving them the gentle care they need for great oral health. Delivering periodontal services at multiple Gentle Dental offices throughout the Seattle region, he brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to each patient’s care.

His love for his profession is reflected in his achievements. While studying Dentistry at a top dental school in his home country of India, Dr. Buddula received an award from the International College of Dentists for achieving the highest marks in Prosthodontics. He furthered his education with a Masters of Dental Surgery in Periodontics from the College of Dental Surgery in Manipal, India. He went on to pursue a Certificate in Public Health at the Oklahoma University of Health Sciences in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He then attained his D.M.D degree at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Buddula made the Dean’s Honor Roll for his exemplary performance on the National Dental Board examination, and was selected by the world-renowned Mayo Clinic to complete his Fellowship in Periodontology and Masters in Biomedical Sciences. His work there earned him the Dental Student Award for outstanding achievements from the American Academy of Periodontology. Especially interested in implant surgery, he has multiple articles on this topic in international, peer-reviewed journals, and his papers have been accepted for presentations at various national and international conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and American Dental Association.

Recognizing that patient care and understanding are the essence of any health profession, Dr.Buddula has genuine love and concern for his patients. This fact was acknowledged when he was placed among the best periodontists in patient care at the Mayo Clinic, based exclusively upon the positive patient feedback he received.

In his spare time, Dr.Buddula enjoys watching movies and playing cricket. He is fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi.

ABOUT ME

Dr. David Kang believes patient education is a critical component in successful treatments. He always spends time with his patients going over details of diagnosis and prognosis based on clinical evaluations and research studies recommending evidence-based treatments. All of his patients and referring doctors complement and appreciate him for his great chair-side manner!

After graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Kang received his M.S. in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and his Masters degree in Endodontics from the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Kang grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and worked as a computer engineer at IBM before he joined the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland for his master’s degree in Biotechnology.

Dr. Woo says, “For me, dentistry combines creative artistry with the fundamentals of science. I try to create a welcoming and comforting environment by treating each of my patients like family.”

After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Woo received his Dental Degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.

After graduating from University of Washington, Dr. Jung received his Dental Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He also speaks Korean.

Away from the office, Dr. Jung likes to get outdoors in beautiful western Washington with his family and his dog for some hiking.

ABOUT ME
Dr. Xu (Sue) Qian is a Board-Certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics. She earned her DDS and completed her orthodontic residency with a MS at West China School of Dentistry, Sichuan University. Then she completed a PhD in Oral Health Sciences at School of Dentistry, University of Michigan. She completed her second residency with a specialty certificate in Orthodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry.

Dr. Qian has started practicing orthodontics since 2008. She is highly experienced in orthodontic practicing, teaching, and research. She was a full-time faculty teaching orthodontic residents and treating patients at Tufts University, Boston before relocating to Seattle with her husband who is a software engineer and their two young kids. Currently, in addition to practicing orthodontics, she continues remote teaching the orthodontic residents as a clinical associate professor. Dr. Qian provides treatment with both braces and clear aligners. She is a credentialed Invisalign provider.

Dr. Qian decided to become an orthodontist when she was in middle school because of the awesome experience she had with her orthodontist. She is ecstatic to provide the same memorable experiences for all her patients and maybe inspire them to join the field as well! Dr. Qian says, “I love working together with my patients to provide them with an optimal individualized treatment. Creating beautiful, healthy and confident smiles for my patients means everything to me.”

Away from the office, Dr. Qian enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with her family.
